THE REIGN OF THE MARBLE EFFECT

Marble made a strong comeback a few years ago and doesn’t seem ready to leave the spotlight. Porcelain wall coverings can mimic the look of natural stone, creating a refined and minimalist aesthetic in any workspace. Durable and versatile, porcelain requires far less maintenance than natural marble. It can also be used in bathrooms, as flooring, or even to create stylish furniture pieces.

The Spanish Inalco collection features polished, glossy finishes that bring brightness, originality, and warmth to any room. An ultra-white porcelain surface can effectively replicate the look of high-end classic marble. According to Karim Guirguis, Sales and Marketing Director at Italbec, this material is also highly resistant to impact and wear.

THE TERRAZZO TILE FOR WORKSPACES

Like marble, terrazzo has made a strong comeback since its popularization in the 1980s. This speckled surface material, made from a mix of natural stones, can be used just as effectively on walls as on the floors of large open-concept spaces. When chosen in a neutral tone, the tile offers a look that is both classic and timeless. It highlights colorful furniture pieces or architectural details within a design project.

Reminiscent of granite, terrazzo-finish porcelain stoneware is highly versatile. It offers long-lasting durability along with natural stain resistance. According to Karim Guirguis, this stylish and modern surface is an especially smart choice for contemporary interiors or industrial-style workspaces.

THE GRAPHIC AND TEXTURED EFFECT

A surface material inspired by natural stone with graphic patterns offers a timeless look while adding a unique character to walls or floors. Its modern and versatile design makes it suitable for any area within a work environment. The material’s neutral tones help create a calm and elegant atmosphere, while the graphic finish adds a touch of originality.

The Azalai model by Inalco is made from thin porcelain stoneware. Its black finish, streaked with white and copper veining, delivers a result that is both refined and distinctive. It can be used as a wall or floor covering, or to wrap around a large conference table or storage furniture. Resistant and non-porous, the material doesn’t absorb liquids. It also stands up to stains and is slip-resistant.

With its fine veining that mimics the look of marble, the Storm model is available in shades of black and grey. Like Azalai, it is extremely durable and resists wear and dirt. “Depending on the desired effect, it can be selected in either a glossy or natural finish,” adds Karim Guirguis.
